Seperate Compal Forum?

Maybe notebook review could look into making a seperate forum for compal as Zepto is getting alot of attention in europe and the HEL80 and many more VBI laptops are compal and asus as the main ODM's. It could also help people looking at compal machines rather than having to either trek through the 'other manufacturers' forums or the review forums for the compal notebooks

although quite honestly, it may be rather inactive.. mostly because the sheer majority of Compal whitebooks out there are given different names.

The Compal whitebooks are given different names just as the Built on Asus whitebooks are given different names...but most of the people on the forums seem to be saavy enough to know the ODM model numbers for every brand out there

that's somewhat true, although it does seem that these days, a number of vendors who once gave BoA Asus models different names.. are now just calling these BoA models by their Asus names.

In any case, should a Compal forum be created.. I'll gladly create a faq of Compal models, other names they go by, and vendors from various countries.

Perhaps when it gets big enough, some one can send compal test units for us NBR staff to preview them its certainly a good way to get Compal's name out.

Yeah, thats very fair, so far we have 2.... so 8 more I hope we can get that from the amount of people who are interested in this model then hopefully we can get the other 8 people and i'm sure i'll be active around the forum even if its on my own lol

I would love to see a Compal forum especially since I will be using the Compal HEL80, Powerpro 8:15, EL80 purchased form Powernotebooks.com. Will be good to post specific problems as well as positive feedback regarding these laptops.
