Forum Navigator At Bottom of Page
I refer to forum threads in FinalGear.com since they use vBulletin as well. If you notice, they have a copy of the forum navigator (don't know what it's really called) at the bottom of the page in each thread as well. In this thread, it's the links at the top: Laptop Forums .... Discussion > General > Site .... Announcements
What I find is that once I've read last post of a thread in FinalGear, I can just click the link below to return me to the mother forum. Here, I have to scroll all the way up to the top.
It's not a big issue, I can scroll, but it's way more efficient and time saving, especially in a thread page with a lot of pictures or a lot of text.Lenovo Thinkpad T61p 15.4" 1680x1050 WSXGA+ | Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 2.5Ghz | 4Gb RAM | 500Gb@5400rpm | 512MB nVIDIA Quadro FX 570M | Arch Linux x86_64 + Windows 7 Professional x86_64

Re: Forum Navigator At Bottom of Page
I sure wouldn't see any reason not to implement this feature.

But maybe it's a feature only available in 3.8.5. This forum uses 3.6.4.

I wanted to comment on the version code, but I don't think it's any different because 3.x.x should already be a very mature version.

Yeah. I just think it's really convenient and fast. You read down and then once you're done posting/reading, click a bit at the bottom and you can go to whichever forum you want.

Re: Forum Navigator At Bottom of Page
Since there is now a recent post in this thread and nothing was mentioned, I take it that the jump box has since been added.

Re: Forum Navigator At Bottom of Page
There's a forum jump menu at the bottom that does the same thing as this, have you tried using that?

I don't mean the Previous Thread | Next Thread links. Check out any thread in the FinalGear forum, then scroll down. It's a link to the the subsub-forum the current thread is it, then to the sub forum, then main forum. Like a tree branch to the root.
