    what duo core or quad core would the i7 720 QM be comparable to?

    Honestly none. Proc and architecture is completely different.

    you also cant really tell by clock speeds as well. for example, back in the days when the pentium processor were like maxed out at 3.5GHz, out came the core 2 duo processors with 1.5GHz and they beat the crap out of the pentium processors. It's a whole new ball game with the i7.
    But if you're all about gaming the i7 wont be as important as the GPU.

    In 2D Testing it was benching only slightly less than a QX9300, so its pretty damn good.

    ^ Thats not the 720QM being benchmarked. Its the 820QM

    Its safe to say the 720QM will be better than the base Core2Quad Mobile (Q9000).
