Default Thinkpad T60 DVD Drive Suggestion
Hi-
Does anyone know of a dvd drive that will fit in a Thinkpad T60 notebook, without having to go direct through them? I ordered one through newegg and got it today and it didnt fit. (NEC ND-6750A) Does anyone have any suggestions? Any help would be appreciated.

You have to get a 9.5mm height DVD burner instead of 12.7mm one. not sure if you can get an LG 4083N or Panasonic UJ-842 from an online store, these are the ones used in T60 with stock DVD burner.
ALso keep in mind that you need the rail and connector as well in order to use them in T60.

Put the 6750 in an external usb powered case. The Panasonic drives on ThinkPads offer mediocre quality and are expensive.
