Rebate on zx5000

Hi,
I bought a zx5000 and it said that there is a $50 mail-in-rebate on all new HP notebook PCs but when I go on the page with all the rebates and look for the rebate I can't find it.It says models like zx5001us or zx5041us but nothing like zx5000 only.Why is that?Can anyone help me out with this.Thanks a lot!!!!

there is a 100 rebate for that model good till 9/1/04 I think. Yours falls under the custom or (CTO) models for the rebates. You can get the 50$ but you should go for the 100$ if you are going to send it out soon.

I bought my zx5000 recently too and was trying to fill out the $100 rebate. It says it needs an invoice or a packing slip along with the original UPC and serial number bar code.

I got mine through HPshopping.com and was trying to figure out where all this information is. I printed off just about everything I could from my order. I'm also guessing that the UPC and bar code are on the back of the brochure-type thing that the computer came with. The box was just a plain old cardboard box. Does anyone have any experience with filling out the form? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

the upc barcode is on the outside of the box. It has a lot of numbers and barcodes on the one large sticker. The packing slip is your online transaction record. Just log into the HP.com site and pull up your order that is your packing slip. Look on the hp web site they have a faq on all this if you need a better example.

Thanks for the info (I always wondered what that CTO stands for).Yes mine is a custom made and I could not find any rebate matching it. You were talking about the $100 one, can you post the page where the actual rebate is?That would be very helpful.I would be very happy with the $50 one but I couldn't find the CTO section anywhere.Please help...Thanks

Ahaaa I see now.Thanks a lot.I think I got everything I need.One more thing though...What if I send a copy for the $50 rebate also?Would that work?I know I'm getting a little greedy [] but I can surely use these $50 for something good [].Now if that might nullify the $100 I will not send it but I am qualified for both of them am I not?Thanks

only send the 100$ they will only allow one of them, if they recieve both you might get niether or they will choose the lesser of the two. I think if you read the rebate form carfully it will say something about not using it with other offers, but I've heard it said universally on this site they only allow one rebate per machine.

im in the same boat as you..
i still can't figure out what the UPC is. is it the 1 big lable (kinda yellow/white) on the outisde of the MAIN shipping box?
