Apparently the new thinkpads are a bit tricky when you install a fresh copy of Windows. A lot of the hardware drivers are not included with the OS and need to be backed up before installing the fresh copy.
Well I didn't do that. I recovered most of the thinkpad drivers from
Lenovo's site. But I'm still missing the main HDA audio driver. I looked into the matter and it looks like the only way to get it is to get it from someone who hasn't already formatted their hard drive.

I figure since there are so many new t60 users here that someone has the file. Thanks, an upload via megaupload or yousendit would really be appreciated.
Other than that, I'm excited to say that I'm very happy with my new thinkpad. If anyone else is having thinkpad hardware problems, I'll be around to help people.
