Re: NVIDIA Quadro NVS 110m?
it should be completely fine if they say the 6 series works. the 7 series is basically based off the 6 series, so it shouldn't mattery if one member of the 6 series can beat one member of the 7....i'm pretty sure someone has played oblivion (albeit not fantastically) with a 7400.

Re: NVIDIA Quadro NVS 110m?
Thanks for the heads up ejl. I'm going to pick up something windows game advisor says the 7400 can't run and see what happens. Probably LOTR II.

Re: NVIDIA Quadro NVS 110m?
LOTR Battle for Middle Earth won't run on the quadro/7400. It only requires a nvidia Geforce 2, which is about 5 years old, so I'm not sure why it won't run. It starts and then crashes stating a memory loss in dx8. When I run a diagnostic in the Directx drivers it will no longer create 3d images in the test. I have to reboot to start again. Atleast I got about 5 min of game play. Back to the drawing board.

Re: NVIDIA Quadro NVS 110m?
I used to play Oblivion on a 6600GT until i fried it... It worked just fine.
Oblivion runs on a x1600 without a hintch. Someone i know has a NVS 110m in their laptop and attempted to run Half Life 2... it did not get further than attempting, the game would load and then quit saying: "not enough system resources" as a windows error message.

Vlad_I, I can run Half Life 2 on my X300 Dell Latitude D610 without any problems (1024x768 with detail turned down a notch or two ). In theory the NVS110m is more powerful (better?) than the X300 so SHOULD work OK. I wonder what system resources it is complaining about?
This might well be a driver issue and not hardware related (read: crippled drivers). I wonder if it's possible to get the 7300 Go drivers to work on the NVS110m? Interesting project for someone more clever than what I am

Re: NVIDIA Quadro NVS 110m?
Hi, if y'all still reading thread
I just got a Quadro 120M Dell D820 at work and bolted home to plug in C&C ZH and bummer, the hardware detect didn't recognize, so the game runs in smurfy default. Quite nice, but no detailed effects config menu.
nVidia-downloaded latest drivers say the hardware not supported (yet?) so stuck with the Dell driver.
Currently scouring the web for answers.

I'm looking to buy the said laptop as well, but can I know this graphic card can do 3d application such 3dMax / Viz etc?

Re: NVIDIA Quadro NVS 110m?
Mad-macro, that was an interesting thought. When I tried to play LOTR BfME II on my 120m, I tried it on the lowest possible settings. I also don't have anything else currently on the computer that may be prohibiting game play and I don't get the system resources error message. The game actually stops the cards ability to render 3d images, shutting it down. Something is definitely amiss. Maybe the card has been altered for the D820.

Re: NVIDIA Quadro NVS 110m?
It costs $60 more to upgrade to the NVIDIA Quadro NVS 110M over the Intel GMA 950.
They dont have any other options.
I would consider that worth the price if the 110M has any improvements in graphics over the 950.

Re: NVIDIA Quadro NVS 110m?
The 110M would be a large improvement over the GMA950 if you plan on doing anything 3D.
