Default HP's Ridiculous Shipment Packaging

Recently, I ordered a 10ft AC cord from HP for use with my power adaptor. For just one small piece of power plug, this is how it was delivered to me. In a 10kg wooden pallet, directly from Inventec in Shanghai.

This is simply ridiculous as the barely 300g box was contained within a larger box and strapped to a wooden pallet weighing more than the contents itself. DHL must have charged HP a lot for this shipment, so how could this even be cost effective.

I am kind of annoyed with HP as I had to drag this pellet from my apartment lobby, into the lift, out of the lift, into my home, cut it open, remove the contents and discard all the junk packaging. This is ultra fail for environmental conservation.

Wow, are there like 5 laptops in there (it is that big).

Whoops...just a tiny box.

What do we have here? A power cord!

Yep, got me excited for a while. Even the DHL guy thought I had bought like a mini server or something.

Power cords needs space at all times otherwise they loss the ability to transfer power. So HP was doing the smart thing.

Couldn't that be some sort of recognition for (extremely) loyal consumers?

Anyway, you shouldn't complain much since you've got more "bang for the buck" (literally) as some people around would say. ROLF

Thanks for sharing....

I once received a 2in metal o-ring from Rolse Royce in a box that large... came from england too. I cant believe companies pay shipping like that.

But yeah thats insane for a plug. I guess they wanted you really satisfied that your item was protected

that is very mean what HP did.

They make it seem like you got something really nice (by mistake) and then it turns out to be exactly what you ordered. damn
