It apppears they say that

"To be clear, a clean install is always going to be the safer option. It forgoes any risk of old Windows components contaminating the new install, and hence for anyone that absolutely needs it to go right the first time, it’s still the way to go"

but they think a upgrad is OK.

So, still a clean install is reccomended.

After running for 2 days on my Upgraded W7 OS, I'd recommend the upgrade procedure. I wasn't having any issues with Vista though... the OS was very stable.

so guy's hello and good morning from germany !
First thing up... Im sorry for my bad english ;-)

i spend a lot of time/nights and nerves to get the w90 running with original ati drivers ( mobility catalyst 9.9 and modded catalyst desktop drivers 9.10 ) and here is the result of my sleepless nights.... It works !!!!! Very fine under vista and win7 !!!!! Crossfire is full aviable and works too !! With. The original ati drivers ... Yes you Hear right !!!

So here is a short instruction to get this damn gamin mashine faster and better :

step one : you must have installed the original vista OS otherwise it will not work !!! So download this modded. W90 bios http://www.asustreiber.de/.w90/W90VP-ASUS-0001.rom
please flash it via EZ at your bios under DOS and than restart your w90

step 2: remove all ati software and drivers !! After using the ati unistallmanager please clean the rest of the ati files with DH drivercleaner ... You can find via google ... After that restart your system !

Step 3: flash your graphic card with this tool !! Its original from asus but not offical ;-)

http://www.asustreiber.de/.w90/ASUS%...s_W90_Aug5.zip

After that step reboot your system after the reboot you can install the original drivers from ati ( under win7 will only the catalyst mobilty 9.9 work!!!!! ) under vista works the modded catalyst 9.10 modded with mobilitymodder by driverheaven.net very very fine ;-)

i hope you enjoy this instruction and have now a lot of fun with your w90 high end gaming machine!!!

I hope my work make you all happie !!

And sorry for my bad english !!

Here the download adresses :
