Pre-CeBIT 2009: New Clevo models leaked
New Clevo notebooks of 2009: Pre-CeBIT 2009
Remember guys, you heard it here first.
(Although a few others have gotten the leak as well... I will probably be the first to type it all out)
NotebookReview FTW.
Now on to the confirmed models that will more than likely be debuted next year... most likely at the Clevo booth at CeBIT2009.
UPDATE: speaking of CeBIT, Clevo has just announced (literally within the last few hours) their appearance there and some details of what they will be debuting:
http://www.clevo.com.tw/en/news/news....asp?newsID=91
Note: Launch Date does NOT mean thats the date that it will be shipped to customers... only means its been debuted.
- if the launch date is Q1 2009, the ship/purchase date wont be until late Q2 to Q3 2009.
 (For Engadget.com guests)
Note 2: let me explain the model numbers... which are not "cryptic" at all. The small "x" will denote a numeric number which would entail an aesthetic difference (usually color).
- all of this is explained in the Clevo Guide.... with this one simple pic.
_____________________________________________
1.) Netbooks
(yes, since everyone is doing it, Clevo seems to want in as well) - Clevo TN70xM (launch date: Available now)
 - 7-inch (1024 x 600) Tablet Netbook
- Touchscreen... obviously since its a tablet PC
- Automated rotating screen
- Intel Atom Z series CPU
- Passive cooling design... No fans
- 4-cell battery: 10hrs on idle / 8hrs when operating / 6hrs with wifi & web browsing.
- very light: weight is 0.94 kg
- and the rest: GPS, Expresscard slot, etc...
- Clevo M71xL (launch date: Available now)
 - 10.2-inch (1024 x 600) Netbook
- Intel Atom N270 CPU
- 2.5-inch HDD
- Optical Drive ...... about freaking time in a netbook.
- and the rest: HSDPA option, wifi, etc...
- Clevo M81xL (launch date: Q1 2009)
 - 10.1-inch (1024 x 600) Netbook
- Intel Atom N270 CPU
- Very thin: < 29 mm
- 2.5-inch HDD
- and the rest: HSDPA option, wifi, etc...
- Clevo T89xM (launch date: Q2 2009)
- 8.9-inch (1024 x 600) Netbook / Tablet
- Specifically designed to by rugged
- Touchscreen

2.) Ultraportable notebooks- Clevo TN12xT (launch date: Q4 2008)
 - 12.1-inch Ultraportable Tablet Notebook
- Touchscreen
- Montevina platform with Intel GM45 "Cantiga" chipset
- and the rest: pretty like every other current Montevina system
- Clevo R13xT (launch date: Q2 2009)
- 13.3-inch Ultraportable Notebook
- introducing the new "R" line that denotes Rugged design (I gotta update the Clevo Guide now)
- Intel ULV .... probably Core 2 mobile SU9x00 series
- Standard 2.5"HDD and Optical Drive
- and the rest: pretty like every other current Montevina system
3.) Mainstream notebooks- Clevo W76x series (launch date: Q2 2009)
 - introducing the new "W" line that denotes Widescreen (16:9) design
- 15.6" screen (16:9)
- everything seems to be the same as the current M760/M770 series
4.) Desktop Replacement notebooks- Clevo D90xF (launch date: Q1 2009)
 - The next "King of Notebooks" ... successor of the current king: Clevo D901C
- 17" screen (up to 1920x1200)
- Clevo being very secretive, so cannot confirm if its Core i7 or not
- can only confirm that its a new Intel desktop platform (definitely newer than current D901C with P965 chipset)
- using Nvidia SLI .... like the current MXM Type IV SLI setup in the D901C
- and the rest: HDMI, Dual-Link DVI, e-SATA, etc...
- UPDATE (2009-01): more information leaked about D90xF here
5.) Desktop Replacement (Large Screen) notebooks- Clevo M98xNU (launch date: Q1 2009)
 - 18.4-inch Full HD (1920x1080) display
- Mobile Intel quad-core processor support
- Nvidia MCP79 chipset
- DDR3-1333 RAM support
- Nvidia Hybrid Power/Hybrid SLI/Hybrid Performance video card modes
- Integrated Nvidia video card for power saving
- Dual Nvidia 9800M-GTX video cards for maximum performance
Enjoy, sorry, no more solid details on the D90xF yet.
But now there is confirmation that the D901C does have a successor model... and its not the M98xNU that other sites claimed it to be... but we know better here at NBR don't we.
I'll update whenever I can get real confirmation.
Maybe I can get pics for everything... just need some time.

Re: Pre-CeBIT 2009: New Clevo models leaked
You know... if you started with the 15-17" models, you would probably have a lower chance of being lynched.

Re: Pre-CeBIT 2009: New Clevo models leaked
Hmm Q1 is a lot earlier than I expected for a D90X replacement, particularly since I just bought one. GRR

The Clevo M570ETU is the latest of the 17" single videocard notebooks.
this is definitely a D901C replacement/refresh

I would not fret.
Same MXM-IV slots, same videocards, both still quad-core CPUs.
And this notebook wont ship out until late Summer or Fall 2009
Remember, "Launch Date" does not mean Purchase Date

Hmm, Launch, not Ship? That makes sense. Still, it's unnerving as I just got mine on Friday. Heh.
So... interested in mine?
