Beatmania (IIDX) and Pop N Music series
(aka. HipHopMania)
- released 1997, started the music game boom in 1998




Dance Dance Revolution / Dancing Stage series
- released in 1998, came to US and Europe in 1999



Para Para Paradise 1 & 2
- released in 1999,
- played on a stage that used infrared sensors.
- created the "hold arrow" that was adopted by DDRMAX and after



Drummania and Guitar Freaks
- released in 1999
- first drum and guitar simulation games
- 3 simultaneous players (2 on guitars, 1 on drums)



Keyboardmania series
- released in 2000
- first and only piano simulation game


PaRappa the Rapper series
- released in 1996 in Japan on PSX console


Bust-A-Move 1 & 2 (JP) ...aka. Bust-A-Groove (US)

oh man the amount of time my buddy and I wasted on Hot Pursuit...co-op lamborghini diablos runnin from the cops...
haha good times indeed back in the day...speaking of which anyone have pictures of Freespace 2? That game was pretty awesome as well.

I don't think anyone put up this game yet. If they did, I apologize but WC2 was my game back in the 90s I did not like the FMV ones as much, but that was all the rage back then (OMG FMV is the future )

For a game that's already over 6 years old, it still looks pretty amazing.
These screens also show what the game can look today, when fans with some serious skill have spend years on modding the graphics. I think it looks pretty close to or even better than Oblivion.
