Default Re: Expected Availability of New HP notebooks

I used to work for Best Buy and from my experience, what we got and when we got it when it cam e to replacement models for Laptops varied depending on current stocks of the previous models that still needed to be sold. That being said, most of the time we start with the most main stream and then, a week or so later, we would receive the more higher end stuff. The highest grade stuff would be carried either online only or only at certain stores with high volume sales or that have a market for that particular model. I say if you give it another week or so, you should see the remaining model variants in the dv5t series show up with the dv7t following right on its heals.

The thing to remember is that the manufactorers, such as HP, are trying to hit the back-to-school gap which really only exists between late July through August. If you can't the models available by the end of August, you will more than likely find yourself playing catch-up until the Holiday season in November and December. I personally can't wait for a review and extra information on a top of the line model HP Business Compaq 6535s. I don't need anything special, just a nice mid-range laptop for school and for my side business I run to pay for school. Hopefully there won't be any major thermal or battery issues with the new AMD platform.

Apparently HP used the July 4 week sale with 50% off many items to clear their stock. The xb2000 and the xb3000 has been removed from the hp site entirely. Anyone got any ideas how the xb4 looks like? I wanted the xb3000 dock but its summer, I'm at home, and I didn't feel like transporting the dock back to campus at fall. Sadly the retail price is going to be set at $249.

HP is already selling this AMD version (dv5z) on their CTO web site. I'm hoping for news on new Intel Centrino 2 versions.

Called HP in Switzerland regarding the Compaq 6735b availability. They told me late September, early October!
Probably a month or two before in the US...

This is awesome!!! cant wait for the dv4t and the dv5t... m sure HP will keep the prices down too (Unlike the XPS and the Sony SR series laptops)

Some say that the dv4t's gna be launched in September. I reckon if its launched in Europe, it should be in the US sooner.... Any dates available?

No, not yet.

Usually Hp releases them to shops the same week they place it in the website.

I'll keep you guys posted regarding price and availability in Portugal.
