The difference applies to bussiness and standard series notebooks:

Expected availability of HP Products

Unless otherwise noted, U.S. availability is shown. Asterisk indicates non-US availability. Availability will vary by country.

Business series notebooks
HP Compaq 6730b Business Notebook: July 2008
HP Compaq 6735b Business Notebook: July 2008
HP Compaq 6530b Business Notebook: July 2008

Standard series notebooks
HP Compaq 6830s Business Notebook: July 2008
HP Compaq 6730s Business Notebook: July 2008
HP Compaq 6735s Business Notebook: July 2008

As You can see, the 6530s, 6535s, 6535b will propably not be available in the US and as of now it seems, that nowhere in the Europe either.
This totally pisses me off. After one year of choosing a laptop, the perfect-for-me 6535b appears. A while later I find out that the only quality 14"/13" with AMD Puma is only going to Asia or Pacific or somewhere
I presume that is the availability dates for the UK even though they mention US availability in the beginning. I dont think the Intel based versions are going to make it in June considering Intel has not announced Montevina yet. According to this news report Intel Montevina is expected to be announced on July 14, so if the article is accurate laptops should follow soon after.

The AMD based versions however should be available pretty soon. The tx2500 is already on sale in the US. I would guess by end June some of the updated Puma platform based dv5z/dv7z should be on sale. The business versions usually follow the release of the consumer versions, so a July date seem to be accurate(for AMD versions).

Can you guaranteeably confirm whether the Performance line will be upgraded this coming October, or at least some time this year? If it is true, then I shall wait until then; otherwise, I might as well buy now.

("Whether or not" is redundant.)

I really wish they would add the option of an HDMI-in port. I would love the ability to play my PS3 or any HDMI device on the LCD of my laptop, it would truly be a great addition.

Its probably more than a month and half away. Intel is expected to release Centrino 2mid July, so any new laptop based on that are only going to be sold after Intel officially releases the platform. Plus, the model number 1050 seems to indicate that it might be the higher end model for the initial release. Mid to end July/early August should be a good guess for that laptops release. ofcourse, this all depends on when Intel is going to announce the new chipsets.

Definitely upwards of $1500(US). The bluray drive itself would bump the price by $300 or so.
