Thank You

maybe the GPU will be downclocked to accomodate inside the M860tu, but maybe we will still have the possibility to later run it at full speed as it was intended when we have it plugged in and connected to a cooler to release its full potential, perhaps some OCing also.

HEY! its possible..... im not be hopefull,,..... not im not... no.. no... no

We were told that M860TU will never have the 9800M GTX according to Clevo. Hope it keeps that way until the end of the year otherwise the attack to PCMW marketing strategy is tottally unjustifiable and un-ethical to say the least.

Afraid I've gotta disagree with you on this point - the PCMW campaign promised M860TU with 9800GTX and extreme processor now, subject only to delivery of components, that is, a presently existing configuration. This they cannot, and could not, deliver. If, for whatever reason, the 9800GTX subsequently becomes capable of being used in the M860TU, that system will be one other than the one that PCMW promised.

To put it in the words of an inimitable grifter,
I'd gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today.

@Shyster,

"Afraid I've gotta disagree with you on this point - the PCMW campaign promised M860TU with 9800GTX and extreme processor now, subject only to delivery of components, that is, a presently existing configuration."

That is your interpretation ("subject only to delivery of components"). Do you know that it is quite common in business to start selling/marketing something prior to its existence to hook the customer? I can give you tons of examples of that. Indeed the only thing they will be guilty IMHO is of irresponsible ETAs if eventually the 9800M GTX comes out for this notebook (misleading forecasts).

Even if they don't control their suppliers (NVDIA, INTEL, CLEVO etc etc) is totally legit of them to make a forecast based on available data (including market trends). Then use that forecast on their campaigns. Forcasts by definition carry risks. Some companies can afford to do none others do not. IMHO, the problem is if they don't deliver it during a working time frame (two months is too long to hold on customers money without delivering the product!).

As I said, if they are violating NDA's they should be fined. But I haven't heard anything about that.

@DFTrance: I suppose then that we'll just have to agree to disagree.
