As far as desks this would be great...
But that's hard to use in bed and blocks the view of the TV from the couch.
Unless you're talking about one of the before mentioned pictures and it's called a "desk". If so, which one.

I have a laptop caddy and it is useful. Though it can be very unstable and will topple if you aren't careful.

My 3 1/2 year old flat out refuses to stand there holding my notebook... I think he's just bitter that Daddy spent his college fund on a computer...
What do most people use when putsing around the house with their notebook?

Or make a new one that wont be bitter
I use an APC stand. Its a piece of plastic >.< that costs 20$ made by APC.
