Default Can I safely format this partition?

Okay, I had vista installed first, I made a partition, put XP on it, used the little program to put XP into the boot up menu. Now I don't want XP anymore...can I safely format the XP partition without having problems with the Boot Menu and selecting which OS I want?

I mean...I will only have 1 OS installed if I format my XP partition, but will the Vista boot selector realize this and delete the XP entry altogether?

Sorry if I am unclear.

Yes, you can delete the partition.

yes, no problem........

just do it from vista with the built in partition manager or a third party like the freeware cute partition manager.......

then you can expand or absorb the xp partition into vista

Okay, I just didn't want the option to boot into XP to still be there in the bootmenu. Thanks. I should use Vistas Disk Manager right?
