Default Inspiron 9300 monitor profile

Hi All,
I am using my 9300 to process digital photography pictures from my 20D using photoshop..I was wondering if any one has an accurately calibrated screen...and if so if they can either share the profile or explain what porceedure they used ???

My printed pictures look different when printed than when displayed on the screen........Thanks.......shkj

What are you asking about? Color, size, contrast, saturation...?

He's asking about icc profiles. Every monitor shows colors differently. Colors also usually come out very differently in print.

I have no idea how to calibrate my monitor personally, but i know there's like a pantone monitor scanning thing that can accurately do it for you.

I'm doing a bit of web development on my i9300 and it's annoying because the screen on the i9300 is bluer than it should be. I've tried to compensate using the nvidia panel, but like I said, I'm a noob at this and greys turn out more brown than grey.

Anyways, all this to say that if someone does have some calibrated profiles for the i9300, i'd really be interested in it.

Also shkj, if you're doing professional photography, you should probably calibrate it yourself. The reason being that just like every different screen's colors look differently, so do all printers. What you need to do is to calibrate your profile to match your printer. Someone else's profile wouldn't help you.

If you were doing web development on the other hand, then i think we could share profiles.
