I know this might be alot to ask for, but could anyone upload the driver pack to like rapidshare or someplace? I'd really like to get my dv9500z to XP but the downloads keep dying within the first 10 minutes.

im uploading the older, but 100% working version of the nVidia driver.

you will NEED to uninstall the current driver and reboot your laptop in order to get this working. link coming soon

[EDIT x2]
wow this is taking long @ 72KB/s

ok now it slowed to 65KB/s

connection timed out at 82%

Oh btw, the guide is going to change a bit..... after i have dinner
Is that what's at the first link and is named 1.10?

Do any/all the new/updated drivers that are in the new Driver Pack work 100% or at least as good or better than the 1.02 Driver Pack versions?

I reread the guide again and still don't notice any changes -- are they still coming? Can you call them out with a color (and note that color as meaning "updated" at the start) for the dummies like me?

Thanks for all the hard work!

Hope all the exams went well!

Hey Mujjuman, thanks for the guide. I found it very helpful so far. I must have missed something though, because I can't seem to get my video drivers to install properly. When I install the latest graphics drivers and reboot, the Windows XP loading screen comes up, but then the machine reboots itself. It ends up doing this in a loop till I start up XP in safe mode and uninstall the graphics drivers. I'm using a DV9500 with an AMD Turion 64X2 processor and NVIDIA graphics. Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?

Also, another stupid question: Is this happening because I installed the Intel Chipset Drivers on a machine that is not using an Intel processor?

Help is greatly appreciated.

this whole thread is about installing XP on a dv6500

you can do anything you want with the 8GB hard drive, but you will need another media like a CD and have XP on. what desert are you in, Iraq? Death Valley? Sahara? KSA?

try driver pack 1.20 (only install the graphics driver) its the first link in that post.

first uninstall the old driver, this is VERY important. your computer will die if you dont do it
