Have you tried installing Speedfan? That ought to do it (though I let XP do my fan control and just use Speedfan as a thermometer). These machines run dangerously hot (mine has reached 96 degrees) so it's a good idea to keep an eye on core temp. Anyway - always on is only mildly annoying, it's always off you should be worried about.

Oh yes, and I always keep a pencil taped to the back of the battery pack. This lifts the vents clear of the table and cools it better. Sad but true.

Should I worry about it? How to stop it?

I thought that was managed from the bios/mobo.

Hey whats up? Sorry for the late reply...
I dont tink you should worry about it. If you updated your BIOS recently, its part of the newer BIOS. My fan is always on as well, it doesnt really bother me.

If it has already been done, let me know :P
probably by next weekend
(need money for new HDD and time for the install as well, haha)
