Default Stand By Mode (dv6500t)

When I open the lid on my computer after it goes into stand by mode, the screen does not turn on. I am not sure if its a problem with my nvidia driver becuase I am running windows xp or something else. It goes into stand by mode fine it and all the lights come on when I open the lid again, its just the screen that wont come back on. I don't have "hibernation" mode enabled because I don't think that's the same as stand by but I could be wrong. I'd greatly appreciate it if anyone could help me with this problem.

Oh and I'm using this version for my gfx driver:
