I Found an Awesome How-to:

Easily Remove the DV6000T & DV9000T Wireless Card Blacklist.
So you can use any wireless card you want, not just the $$ ones from HP!

Maybe this will improve my bad reputation?

I found this and wanted to share it with everyone, before I misplaced the link, like usually.

This applies to any of the DV6000T & DV9000T series laptops and perhaps others ...
You only had to locate offset 0x1505 in your BIOS, where you will find an $F9, corresponding to an stc instruction.
Change the $F9 to $F8 (clc).
That's it. Now the whitelist check will always pass. Sweet!
Read the instructions he provides ...

Notice, the F.16 BIOS he is editing for the DV6000T is exactly the same F.16 BIOS download for the DV9000T.
Check the Softpaq, check the link to your BIOS download. They are the same.

That might depend on whether or not anyone "bricks" their laptops! lol

The reason I say that is atleast "some" HP laptops check the bios checksum. Changing just the one bit will change your checksum. You would need to change another somewhere so that your "modified" bios still has the same checksum as the original.

Well, it worked fine for that other guy.
Just changing a 9 to an 8, or whatever. That's a very small change.

I would like to install a Intel 4965 A/G/N Wireless mini PCI-E Card in my DV9000t. Does anyone know if the method posted below works FOR SURE? Has anyone tried it?

Also, if this does work, would someone be kind enough to post an already modified F.16 Bios for the DV9000t that works and was tested. That would be awesome for us peeps that aren't familiar with Hex editing and such.

If anyone wants to rewrite/reformat the procedure, feel free. Maybe it will get stickied. I'm sure I'll be looking for this information when I upgrade this baby to Wireless N. I would attempt the procedure personally, but I have no way to see if it worked without having a wireless N card. If someone wants to mail me a wireless N, I'll be glad to run a test for you in exchange for keeping the card.

The guy who wrote the procedure tested it and it worked for him.

One thing though... I could not find any mention of installing a third antenna for the intel 4965 wireless N card. any word of knowledge on that? Is it needed? What will the 3rd antenna do? etc...
