KF has versus mode (via mod) and you can play as the zombies (via mod) - KF has great free DLC and cheap DLC (major content is free - $2 for new skins and such). The perk system is awesome (basically weapon specialization). KF already got a new perk added to the game (for free) and its been out less than L4D. Even when it first came out, KF had more weapons than L4D. Personally, if you have the money, I'd get both. They both excel in different areas.
