Default Re: Show us your computer room 2!

I was never claiming the 3rd screen for productivity haha, mainly just to say I could

And ya about being playable

My GTX 275 SLI can max Crysis (Very High no AA - 45 fps) at 1920x1200, guess 3x that would be pushing it a bit much? lol

As for multi monitor work, stats are high for a 2nd monitor boosting productivity as high as like 60% depending on what your doing, a 3rd screen though does not add much to the mix.

I have to find things for my 3rd screen to do while doing work but the 2nd screen comes in handy all the time.

Usually right monitor can have the music player to itself and the other 2 will be my active work monitors. When I say work that means photoshop or reading the web lol, at real work where I am now I just have 1 screen well two kinda I have the laptop and the desktop but I cant really use them together.

Moo you never told me if my hex edit file worked for you in prototype, it should have as I tested it this morning but edited mine for 5760x1200, the 5870 ran 30-45fps at all times so it was nice and playable. Game looked amazing on 3 screens, also game L4D2 a trial run on 3 screens, I was not super impressed Torchlight is another absolutely amazing game with full support for 3 screens, and it actually comes in very handy.
worked and super playable 30-40 FPS

See I use 2 now and max them way too easily with things on top of each other. With some more real estate Id be able to push the overflow to that monitor. Although gaming would be great on 3 LCDs, my thinkpad is the only PC I have currently so even if I got a spliter it wouldn't run anything. Heck WoW would be choppy.

hm.. got pics of one of my computer rooms. but i use my laptop mainly only to sync stuff at home, else it's only used when not at home mainly, so you can't see it on the blurryphonecam(tm) pics.

Aside from the cables it looks pretty awesome. Nice setup. Also kudos for posting the images with that border. Nice touch.

i hope to get one day in the future a small external (multi) touchscreen for my laptop (12" or 14") for my live performances, lemure style.. but that'll take a while till then
