Default ASUS Intros two 3D Notebooks

ASUS Intros two 3D Notebooks

ASUS today introduced two notebooks with 3D displays, the G51J3D and the G72GX. The G51J3D features a 15.6-inch display, 1GB Nvidia GeForce 160M graphics card, and an Intel Core i7 processor. The G72GX's features a 17.3-inch display; ASUS did not disclose other specifications.

ASUS does 3D differently than Acer, using a different type of special glasses; ASUS claims its implementation is better for viewing 1080p content and coping with viewing angle issues.

The G51J3D will launch in December and the G72GX in Q2 next year. Pricing has not been confirmed.

GT160M?! Not much of anything for games unless you want to run them at low settings for getting framerates needed for good 3D.
