Aspire Timeline 1820PT – The Aspire 1820T has a touch of class with multi-touch and rotate 11.6” widescreen display. Powered with energy efficient Intel® CoreTM Duo Processor technology, this notebook is lightweight and provides all day computing. From RRP $879 inc GST

It's from official Acer website... $879 AUD ~= $790 USD
Sry but that's from 2009-09-09, It's an old post and it also says release date 22 october, so there's not much garuantee in it. But the price should be around that much for the su7300 one.

It did not say release date 22.

The new range of products will be available through Acer’s established network of authorised distributors and retailers from 22 October 2009.
FROM October 22. It means, AFTER October 22.

It's a really reliable source. The 11.6" widescreen is right, the 1820pt Model name is the same, intel core two duo is the same..... lightwieght all day computing... first available in australia... etc....

I'd say it's reliable, sry.

@andershizzle:

you are right, but this information has already been posted shortly after release. The link of the Acer Australia site with the same content has been posted on the first page of this thread - but it doesn't seem to work anymore.

Well I never saw anyone post anything about an official price range anounced directly from the Acer website, so thought I'd post it.

1 NZ = 0.7185 USD.

Since the link is from NZ website, wouldn't that translate to $879 * 0.7185 = $624 USD ?

Well something is going on at "Acer Touch"

The Acer Touch-Site now has two models listed - disappointingly none of them is the 1820pt - And i sooo wanted to "Touch an Acer today"

Yeah that is weird. I'm tired of all these waiting games.
First the Acer Aspire 751h came out, but I decided not to get it because I figured they would eventually have a more powerful version.
And I was right, the 1410 came out. But I decided to wait until the infamous dual core timeline version came to the US (the 1810TZ).
Then I realized the 1810T in the US will actually be the most powerful version so I waited for it.
Shortly before that was released I realized they were making a touch screen version of it so I started waiting for it.
And now I found this out:
http://www.liliputing.com/2009/11/ac...arly-2010.html
Guess I'm waiting till 2010 now.

My current laptop (Acer Aspire 5050) doesn't even work anymore... or at least the Keyboard and touchpad no longer respond on it. But wait some more I shall. I will continue to use a USB mouse and virtual on screen keyboard to type in my class that requires a laptop... Thank God for paper and pen note taking and a custom built Desktop at home where I can get real work done.

The link doesn't work. please post it again
If it's about the arrandale processors, they will be stronger but not my much, and they won't have better battery, for a bigger price, I say buy the tablet now since the price is good and skip next year's genreration.
