Correct me if I am wrong, but this looks like a much better deal overall than even the Gateway P-7915u FX.

Too bad the screen size is not at least 16 inches. The screen sizes for both models seem a bit too small.

Serg, do you know anything about the battery life of these two models? Can their graphics cards run the latest games and are these laptops more professional in appearance for people like me (professional students and teachers) compared to the Gateway P-7915u FX?

What kind of configuration would you make to the T500 that is reasonable and not a waste of money?

Again, thank you for your time and patience.

The T500 uses the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650. There is no option to upgrade during the config. process.

That Gateway definitely is not what you want if you plan to use it in professional settings! That's why someone recommended to you one of the Lenovo laptops awhile back. The Lenovo deal is good, but you can probably get a better laptop for the same price especially from now till Black Friday. What you seem to need according to your lifestyle is a professional style laptop that can play current games and look good and respectable in professional settings. Hopefully, Serg or someone will answer that question because I am not familiar with all of the laptop companies.

agnusdei, hi there.

The T500 has a 3650HD, yes. Can you game on it, yes. Is it high-end gaming, no, casual gamers.

Both have switchable graphics, meaning you can use Intel GMA4500MHD and save battery life when not plugged.
Run times with the 6 cell on the T500 was about 5 hours max, and with the 9 cell was 7-8 hours.

They are built to last almost anything, abuse, carrying it around, spilling things on it (just dont turn it upside down), dust, you name it...

Gentlemen,

I apologize for butting in, but since this offer expires soon, would you mind to look at my thread looking for computer here:

http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=431409

Should one of the Lenovos fit, what would be worth to upgrade, without wasting money.

Thank you,

M

Thank you, Serg. The T500 is definitely on my long list of laptops, but I am not a fan of its screen size. The graphics card is not an issue because it can always be replaced since it is dedicated.

Well, sadly the GPU on a T500 cannot be replaced as it is soldered.
