Default Lexar Intros New 2.5" SSDs

Lexar Intros New 2.5" SSDs

Lexar today introduced its M225 series Solid State Drives (SSDs), available in capacities from 64GB to 256GB. They have a standard 2.5-inch form factor, a SATA 3.0Gbps interface, and use Multi-Layer Cell (MLC) NAND flash technology.

The company claims the top-of-the-line 256GB drive has a 250MB/s write and 200MB/s read speed. All of the SSDs have a five-year warranty.

The M225 series SSDs are available now; the 64GB retails for $169.99, the 128GB $329.99, and the 256GB $599.99.

Man I swear by the end of the year there will be like at least 20 different SSD makes to choose from. It's crazy...and most of them are just rebranded.

OK, so I wonder whose controller they're using. Too cheap to be an Indilinx...

Checking Newegg, they look to be right on par with the other Indilinx controller prices.
