Sharp PC-MV1214 HELP drivers

anyone own one of these, or more important, the drivers / recovery discs.

I've been told that the only support is japanese. I've searched the lot of google, on several different searches to try and find these drivers. Currently have problems with wireless support and multimedia, along with a network connection.

Please, any help is appreciated, and money will be paid for copies of recovery discs.

Hi, I also have a Sharp PC-MV1214 that I would like drivers for.
I know what drivers I need because a wrote them down from device manager before I re-installed windows XP. I may have to locate each driver individually from each manufacturer if I can't get the drivers from Sharp.
I contacted Sharp UK who said that they have not sold Laptops in the UK for a number of years and do not support the PC-MV1214. They said that they were imported for sale by Dixons / Currys / PC World and are supported by them via www.pcservicecall.co.uk. I have been to there website and although they list the laptop on their website, they do not have any drivers for it. I phoned them and they said to phone Sharp UK.
If you have any luck getting drivers or recovery CD's, please let me know and I will do the same.

I have problems in getting the wireless working for this Sharp laptop after a reinstallation of Windows XP (not a restore). Seems Windows doesn't detect the wireless hardware, so it don't know what driver should be installed. So would you please send me the wireless driver to me: clark_lu AT hotmail.com

I really need the drivers too!!! I did PM you but I am just writing again and to any one else who may be able to assist I need the recovery discs for this laptop as PC World have been no help at all!!

I got the Audio drivers to work, I can e-mail them or msn them too you...they were 8mb in size..or I might even be able to get the link again!

Try these they might work, I got these from an expert from another forum...
I have a feeling the Actius MV12 is diff to the MV1214.
Mind you the Audio drivers don't even have Win2k or Win XP..

Great job and you are man! Cannot wait to see how WLAN works on my friends laptop.

But all in all, I've been told not to buy any Jap's laptops due to this or that kind of intended 'incompatibilities'.

let me know if the wireless works...none of then actually worked on my mine. i ended up going to drivershq.com which cost me $30 but at least got me the sounddrivers
