Sharp PC-MV1214 HELP drivers

Hi All,

First of all I'd like to point out that this is probably the worst-supported laptop I've ever laid my hands on!

I don't usually write on these forums but it was making me laugh so much that nobody had worked out what drivers their laptop would need I thought I'd post and help you all out!

I won't go into how I did it (it's not difficult, but all you need is the Intel Chipset Identification Utility from intel.com) and it'll tell you the following:

I agree that is was easy, but I don't remember how I did get all the drivers I needed.

So does that Intel Chipset thing really work well for computers with AMD processors like this one? I never would have thought of it (but never found a need).

Hi guys I got Sharp MV1214 best laptop i ever had. Unluckly my daughter slipt some juice on it and screen is not working now.Rest works fine as i have tried it with external monitor.if any one wants to get rid of their sharp MV1214 at a price I ca buy .it will be great .All i need is a laptop that works no driver no cd. no operating system.As long as it truns on. I will buy it .thanks

Hi There, I have one of these as well, its been great and hasnt given an ounce of trouble - until recently. The keyboard has developed a fault, the "p" key doesnt work. I cant complain about the performance and relaiability of this machine so would like to keep it going if I can.

Anyone know where I can get a keyboard for it?

Also, I still have the original restore disks if anyone still needs a copy of them!

www.sharpusa.com doesn't link to laptop drivers anymore. Does anyone have a complete set for the PC-MV14 Laptop to do a rebuild from the ground up?

Hi mate! I have my laptop sharp pc-mv 1214 for many years never let me down trying to reinstall my windows but my restore cd's are scratched and cd drive not reading them can you please help me with restore cd's. Thanks
