sorry couldn't resist :D
Grindfest but oh so much fun
SLI is antilove, SLI is antilife. SLI SLI why won't you die?
You guys got it all wrong, there will only be three Pascal GPUs, and they'll be named thusly:
I think the question isn't what could GTX 1080 do, but how much performance would lord nVidia spare upon us lowly peasants.
Pretty much. When it comes to TSMC, I just assume they already screwed up (pre-screwed up? :p) until I see reliable evidence to the contrary.
I'll just say if you sat down and spent some time looking at TSMC's past failures, and how they just seem to find some way to screw up every node...
I'd never use Thermalfake products in any quality build, especially not after they basically stole Caselab's designs and marketed them as their own.
OT but, make sure you at least glue some heatsinks to the CPU mosfets (the little black squares in front of the waterblock) especially since...
I'd still do the RMA if it costs you less than $30 for the following reasons:
Kepler support is near dead, and will certainly be completely EoL...
I TOLD YOU GUYS SO
had to rub it in sorry :D
3DMark Vantage is HIGHLY CPU bound, so likely a new CPU alongisde those GPU upgrades made up for the rest of the difference in Vantage.
One thing's for sure: don't expect 100% GP104 potential out the gate. We were stuck on 28nm for 4 years (and counting), and we'll be on 16/14nm...
@killkenny1 Yeah sure I'll tra... oh wait it's that tree-fiddy GPU NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE
Cookie Clicker v2 loooooooooooool
yeah I'm that guy who buys a $3000 computer just to play Minecraft I guess :(
You spelt that wrong my friend.
There we go.
Me and Steam go a long way back, and not in the good way either. Used to run NoSteam for the longest time until Valve finally cracked down and VAC...
There are no kinks to work out, Macro$haft wants to push all DX12 games through the WDDM 2.0 compositing engine and have total control over the PC...
You know how we all used to make fun of Linux gamers?
Well, joke might be on us in the not-so-distant future.
As much as I dislike PCPer, I must admit they wrote a really good piece on why you should be afraid of DX12, very, very afraid indeed.
Separate names with a comma.
