Running my intel at all-core 4.3ghz at 45w is sufficient to feed the gpu at qhd and reduces temps below 80°C even in demanding games.
Why only ME1?
This laptop has been SOLD!
Bought Mass Effect Legendary on Steam... then noticed the whopping big 100GB download. While bandwidth here is fast, there's also a monthly...
If your games play smoothly already, why risk a vbios swap? I use Timespy for a bench of my system compared to similar systems to know whether I'm...
DLSS helps a lot of course.
Awesome temps for Beast/Overboost mode!
Very good temps! No Afterburner? Overboost or Performance/Game/Enthusiast mode?
Thanks for sharing. There's clearly something wrong with my gpu temps. Cyberpunk really taxes the gpu and I can only force temps below 85°C (!) by...
Which performance mode?
It's a beautiful machine, no doubt.

Yes. I know this. In my case the surprise is not that it runs hot, but that it runs hotter than other, identitical configurations.
Maybe they're just swamped. @saturnotaku have you tried their reddit page?
Yes it's the Max 17. Maybe I'm blinded by users on reddit claiming gpu temps of max 75°C in overboost/turbo mode. Maybe I'm not easy satisfied....
So the consensus appears to be Thermalright TFX is the best paste for laptop cpu/gpu because its thickness compensates for imperfect heatsink contact?
Yes, doubting whether I just will do it myself and use LM on the gpu tbh
It starts already quite high and then soaks some more.
Yeah I expected the cpu to run hot, not the gpu. It's too hot compared to other users' experiences I think.
Mine is hot! Too hot.
The cpu in Overboost reaches up to 90°C, which is not that abnormal. With some Throttlestop and TGP tweaking I get it to...
