Are there versions of this laptop that have a 2060 but also a NVMe drive larger than 256GB? Pretty much everything I'm finding is 256GB, which is...
Given that it's probably going to give at least a year of life to my laptop, I don't think it's quite as financially impractical as you make it...
But I didn't! I have a laptop right now that's quiet and fast, and all I have to do is plug another cable in when I'm sitting on the couch with...
Not sure what I expected posting here, seems like everything on this forum turns into people telling other people that they're doing something...
I guess I'm not convinced I could have gotten any better performance out of my existing laptop -- it's already using liquid metal on both the CPU...
Yep, like I said, I'm aware of the perf loss. But thermal throttling is losing a lot too. Didn't try using an external monitor -- I'd just buy a...
I recently added a eGPU to my Clevo laptop, and thought I'd post some thoughts and results... My goals Good performance -- I wanted to play the...
So....about that "February". It's completely negligent to be asking for a user's password over an unencrypted connection.
Hm, good to know. It was original pasted with Coollaboratory Liquid Ultra which I've heard is kind of a pain to deal with. I'm happy to repaste...
I have a year-old-ish P775DM3-G and was wondering what kind of GPU temps people typically see? I feel like I ramp up to 90-91C and then plateau...
If you're okay with just a sleeve I've been using these from Waterford with a carrying strap forever:...
Ah, that makes more sense, thanks.
Maybe I'm misunderstanding what "25ms" means, but if it can only change each pixel's value every 25ms, then it's incapable of correctly displaying...
Hm, how can it be 120fps if it has 25ms of latency? 120fps is 8ms per frame.
Are you actually seeing temps get to the point where they're throttling though? I mean sure, I'd rather have my CPU at 70C than 85C, but if it's...
I don't think the 6700 will be much different -- you can always limit the TDP to the chip with the 6700k and make it effectively a 6700, as I...
Any reason you guys aren't using 375.63 direct from Nvidia's site?
Are those temps really uncomfortable? Playing Civ 6 on auto fans, I'm getting ~85C CPU and ~80C GPU, all while being pretty quiet. Seems fine to me.
If you can get the same performance with lower temperatures/noise, why not?
The easiest option for CPU is just to use the Clevo control center. It's easy to use, probably already installed, and I've had no issues with it.
