good question not sure. i would say probably yes.
unfortunately the T470 screens are very dim too. around 260 nits or so. the touchscreen version is a bit better.
yes! at least the T420 can be bought for less than $200, add a 300 nit LCD for $30 and you are in pretty good shape!
