Thanks, sorry for the delay. I ended up getting the 9 Pen 15" (no GPU) instead. I can say it is also a very sleek machine and thus far a worthy...
Curious how your experience has gone. Considering picking up the same from BestBuy for $1050. My X3G's batter is dying :(
You really shouldn't need any adapters. I've used Macrium numerous times to restore from an image off an external usb drive to the internal drive.
RAM is always soldered these days. Some m.2 slots support both nvme and sata, maybe @huberth can check and see if their is a setting in the bios.
It's hard to justify any laptop purchase until the metldown/spectre issue has been addressed and performance impact is known. I may wait until...
No black it looks like. Still, I may have to bite, as long as the chassis isn't too flexible. It looks like a mobile powerhouse. :D
I don't need a heavy touch screen so I'm hoping they refresh the sub-3lb 15" notebook 9 as well. Maybe add a few ounces to increase rigidity...
Look carefully at the battery capacity. There was reportedly a model with a very small battery, but I do not see it on the US site now. Just an...
I would check to see if there is still the option to create a bootable USB from Samsung Recovery. Otherwise there are numerous cloning utilities...
Thanks. Strange how long TB3 has taken to roll out. Slow clap for Intel. It has a full size HDMI 2.0 as well so leave the TB3 dock at your...
Likely throttling. Perhaps the Samsung has better cooling to allow for longer turbo. Or perhaps improvements in the kaby lake chipset as there...
Yes, but it's to be expected when you slash off 1/3 of your battery to save a few ounces. If the 16GB 15.0" version turns out to be bug-free I...
I bought a Sandisk 200GB microsd for $50 on black friday for my Surface. Believe me, if I could upgrade the SSD I would definitely do that...
Remember, there are two 15" versions: The lightest 2.2lb has a 30wh cell and is probably only suitable for those people who can manage with <5...
You can always use freeware clonezilla/tuxboot (or macrium) and any external usb harddrive to save the image then restore it to the new drive....
Here are the specs for the EXT. I was wrong, it DOES have TB3. This is THE most impressive laptop I have ever seen. Samsung may have done it...
Yeah, I think they must be mistaken as it is clearly nvme on that page. Fortunately, they got the battery right on this one...66wh should last...
I'm not looking to sell it, but I am interested in an ultraportable 15" with TB3. Rumor is they doubled the battery on the 16GB/nvidia version...
There appear to be two different kaby lake 15.0" models (not sure if they will show up in the same regions): The X5M has 39wh, 2.84lbs, no...
Hmm. Well that's something at least. If the SSD is upgradable, they somehow squeeze 7 hours out of the 15" and keep the price low... Just wish...
