If you have @Prema bios (which you have), the 7700k should be plug-and-play. Make sure you reset the bios to default before replacing the processor.

Plug and play it should run at 2400Mhz. Have you tried putting your old ram back and removing the new one?

1. Did you remove the battery first before plugging in the ram?
2. Did you reset to default settings the bios...
Just remove the coin cell, put it back and it will boot fine.
I removed the middle fan and pushed the keyboard from there, but it seems you can push it directly without removing the fan.
