Some MSi models also have a EC battery reset button on the bottom of the laptop. You would need a paperclip to hold it down.

I think it will vary depending on what you are doing with it, but I would estimate off of previous systems to be around 3 hours
Does it make any beeps before shutting off? Do you have an temp monitoring software to see what temps you are running?
