As glossy screens are more vibrant and suitable of indoor usage, where else matte screens lack vibrancy and more suitable for outdoor usage.

Not to mention nVidia cards by default have more pop to them compared to AMD.
From the images and videos I've seen so far of this laptop everything looks ok to me...but of-course I'll have to see it first-hand with the new model to get a better image/idea.
Glossy screens do look more vibrant than matte, but this is a different issue.
The panel in the Samsung Series 7 is simply low quality. Color gamut is poor, contrast is low, and viewing angles are narrow, even for a TN panel. The strange thing is that Samsung produces some excellent panels for other laptops, monitors, and televisions. Samsung's use of a cheap panel for their own laptop is very strange.
To be fair though, the laptop is decent overall, and people tend to overlook screen quality.

The screen isn't overall bad, not at all, it depends on what you are doing. If you mainly work on your computer and mainly have bright screens, like when using office or programming, then the screen is very good. Especially after using a ICC profile on it.

It might not be as good for darker things, like dark games, but alot of stationary TN panels have the exact same issue. Like the 26" Nec I have for my "main" computer.

So what you will use the computer for matters alot, and for me who use it mainly as a serious laptop to work on, the screen is great.

We'll have to see if they changed the screen, I'll be using it for gaming, surfing, movies that's about it.

Though I didn't have the previous version so maybe I won't notice it.
Even so at best I'll be playing Counter-Strike: GO on it which is a rather bright game.
Forgot to mention that I'll be buying the 17'3 inch version, so maybe there's hope after all :P

Any recommendation which ICC profile one should use?
I'm not that good with those things and when I apply them I don't notice any difference.
A download link would be appreciated, unless you use the ones that come with Windows.

I just talked with the person from tigerdirect, and I asked them about the 17 in model, and they said it will be available the 2nd week of May.

There are instructions and links in this thread:
Samsung Series 7 Chronos (NP700Z4 & NP700Z5) and ICC profile

It's the one I use anyway.

Does this laptop have the room for two hard drives so that I could put in more SSD without getting rid of the main hard drive or would it have to replace it?

Well, the current one barely has room for the one HDD, so I doubt the IB one will have room for a second. I don't even see any room for an mSATA slot...
