Re: Samsung Series 7 Chronos NP700Z5A: Trackpad Discussion Only
John,John Ratsey
SW Update is now offering me Elan Touchpad driver 11.7.5.5.
Edit: I have installed it. No obvious differences in the user interface.

Re: Samsung Series 7 Chronos NP700Z5A: Trackpad Discussion Only
SW Update is offering it for my Series 9. Anyway, I decided that it is a step backwards for me with left click + select being very erratic so I've gone back to 11.7.2.1.
The Update file is ~250MB so I'm not going to try to do it here. If you still want the new driver later in the week I can look into uploading it.

Since Elan touchpad driver 11.7.2.1 is now hard to find, I have uploaded it here. The 150MB installer is Win 7/ Win 8 32/64 bit.

When I'm playing a game I can't move my cursor when I'm just walking. How do I fix this? I'm using the newest Elan touchpad driver. Also, I set my "Disablewhentyping" to 0 in regedit.

Re: Samsung Series 7 Chronos NP700Z5A: Trackpad Discussion Only
Anyone got the 10.7.5.0 driver?
I want to disable tapping and use only the clickpad.. Don't work on any newer drivers.
Or if anyone knows the values in registery for making it work.

Re: Samsung Series 7 Chronos NP700Z5A: Trackpad Discussion Only
I don't seem to have that problem with my NP700Z3A and driver 11.7.2.1.
Anyways, I googled "samsung touchpad 10.7.5.0" and got a number of hits, the first one being this softpedia one: Download Samsung NP700Z3A Notebook Elantech Touchpad Driver 10.7.5.0 Driver for Windows 7 / Windows 7 x64 - Softpedia
I didn't try actually downloading though.

Re: Samsung Series 7 Chronos NP700Z5A: Trackpad Discussion Only
Does anyone else have the problem that the touchscreen driver doesn't seem to switch off the one finger drag and drop ? I'm constantly moving things around which is really really annoying.
I'm quite sure that somebody else posted that issue somewhere in this forum, but i just can't find the post (which may would lead to a solution) :/ .

Re: Samsung Series 7 Chronos NP700Z5A: Trackpad Discussion Only
Within the touchpad driver installation package there are two different configuration utilities: ETDSimpleUI.exe and ETDAniConf.exe. Extract these and put them somewhere. You can then try using both to make your change. There's also the possibility that your security settings are preventing the utilities from actually changing the registry settings in which case try running the utility via right-click > Run as Administrator.
