samsung r519
Dear All,
After installing Windows 7 the fn keys AND the cd drive are/is not working anymore. what to do? I am NOT an expert, so it has to be explained to me in simple words...

Did you install any of the Samsung-specific software yet? If not, visit Samsung downloads Note that link is for the R519. An R519E is also listed separately). If my memory is correct, Easy Display Manager will get the Fn keys working. Some of the other software may also be useful (particularly for power management) but don't bother with the Easy Network Manager.

Hello John,
Thanks for your reply. I tried to download the software but everytime I get this message: The file Easy_Display_Mangager_32bit_Win7...cannot be opened because there are problems with the contents.
Details: Microsoft Office cannot open this file because parts are missing or invalid????
What shall I do? The Fn volume keys are now working but without displaying it on the screen, brightness still is not working.
Whats wrong??

It looks as if Microsoft Office is trying to open a file that it should not. Perhaps you need a different program for extracting the contents from zip files. I use Total Commander (which has a lot of other useful functionality).
