Re: Sager / Clevo Waiting Mode for Ivy Bridge
On the upcoming P150EM site (Clevo P150EM | Channel Authorized Manufacturer Showcase) They mention "1*Display" in the I/O ports section, is that Display port? If so that would mean 3 display outputs!

Re: Sager / Clevo Waiting Mode for Ivy Bridge
I think they may support up to 32GB using 8GB ram sticks considering how oem's have been posting it as an option, although the specs don't mention more than 16GB:
Clevo P150HM Notebook Computer
You can get them pretty cheap at newegg too: Newegg.com - PCs & Laptops, Laptop Accessories, Laptop Memory, 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM, 16GB (2 x 8G)P150HM -- i7 2720qm -- GTX 560m -- 16gb DDR3 -- Vertex 3 240gb -- 95% matte display

Re: Sager / Clevo Waiting Mode for Ivy Bridge
oh yea good point i remember that the dell precision m4600 can support 32.0GB, DDR3-1333MHz SDRAM, 4 DIMMS
But can the ivy bridge p150em have this option or will clevo decide to support it?
I just checked out the p150hm Malibal so yes they do support/offer (32GB) 32768MB, PC3-10660/1333MHz DDR3 - 4 SO-DIMM!!Last edited by postman; 4th December 2011 at 07:18 PM. Reason: answered

Re: Sager / Clevo Waiting Mode for Ivy Bridge
quite surprised to see that quite a handful of the refresh are getting the backlit keyboards.. thought that maybe they would start with 1 or 2 models..
if come march/april the price of 580m dropped to comparable levels with the 6990m, i might just grab a np8170 instead of wait for ivy bridge and the new gpus...

if you buy a sandy bridge and 40nm graphics card in March, you must be a fool!

Re: Sager / Clevo Waiting Mode for Ivy Bridge
It's sad that next years models are still 16:9. I guess I can live with that as long as they give us higher resolutions, it's just ridiculous that my 3 year old laptop has a higher resolution than today's laptops.
