Re: x8100 with 485m weird problem it works but 2 beeps are reboot
In my case, with one GTX580M OC (OV), the maximum power consumption during 3DMark Vantage test is over 220 Watts.

Re: x8100 with 485m weird problem it works but 2 beeps are reboot
what is your laptops rated TDP, as for the p180hm it's going to be 220 watt's as well, same power adapter and everything, i'm just hoping the bios recognizes the card(it should), and what i really hope is that my HEAT related issues are done,

My AC adapter has a 180 watts of rated power. But it can provide for few seconds a little more (220).

Re: x8100 with 485m weird problem it works but 2 beeps are reboot
220 watts is the maximum value, attained by only a few seconds during the test 3DMark Ventage with OC 800/2000. For 3DMark11 maximum input power is much lower (180 watts) and allows for up OC to 860/2000.
The maximum temperature does not exceed 89 C

Re: x8100 with 485m weird problem it works but 2 beeps are reboot
thats good for stress testing temperatures in a "laptop", but your overclocking so that affects your wattage, nether the less i strongly believe 220 watts is adequate, almost certain at this point. Now to await for a p180hm motherboard ....

Re: x8100 with 485m weird problem it works but 2 beeps are reboot
but we Chinese simply think it's a trick of CLEVO
they fear about the GPU card upgraded by yourself on the older type of their notebooks.
so bios/ec or some other things maybe wrong ?
860 could upgrade to 6970m(es , equal to 6990m) but gtx560m will meet a black screen
that's all , we also Helpless but an amd card will solve this problem .
please upgrade to 6990m-crossfire-X and everything will be fine .--- naked w860cu made by Clevo---

Re: x8100 with 485m weird problem it works but 2 beeps are reboot
lzykocp1002,
Did you ever get the 485 working well with both ram sticks installed? I've got a x8100 I'm trying to get working with a 580m, and I have the exact same symptoms (two beeps at boot, no video). Unfortunately, I don't have a 2Gb stick of SODIMM to try- just two 4GB.
Regards,
Jared

Re: x8100 with 485m weird problem it works but 2 beeps are reboot
It's the NVRAM that is getting corrupted because of values not properly written after first shutdown...the easy way to workaround would be to detach the cmos battery for good...
as for the SLI, it is something that has to be present in the BIOS for that specific card, so it properly reports to the OS...Everything has a price!
