There is only 1 section for the X8100 with 3 files ( i don't know if they are locked or unlocked) :

they are just the locked ones, As far as I know there is only one version of the unlocked bios, which doesnt work

Do you have any information about what has changed in the new bios for W860Cu? The Version number is 1.01.11s and i found it at the sager page.

It's for supporting Arrandale CPUs (i5-540M-i5-520M) But to suuport these CPUs your motherboard should be version 4.1 or later also.

It would be nice if somebody tried flashing this bios on older motherboard version using the core i7 CPU. Because if it doesn't work it could be a big problem that all future bioses with various fixes will be unusable on older motherboards.

It'll be fine on older motherboards. Clevo have many times released new mobo versions supporting new CPUs and the BIOS's have always been backwards compatible.

Exactly,

The old mobo will work with that new BIOS but without any benefit from the upgrading but at least it's not harmful.
