enabling bluetooth by default on m860tu/np8660 ?
Hi guys
Is there a way to turn on bluetooth by default so I don't have to turn it on everytime I want to use my bluetooth mouse ?
The reason am asking this question too, because I have Linux installed and it appears that there is no way to turn on bluetooth on linux (because clevo stupidly made the only to toggle radio is by software, no hard toggle !)
So if bluetooth is enable by default, I wouldn't have to find a way on how to use hot keys in linux. I tried in BIOS but didn't find anything interesting.
Regards

the function keys should be trapped by the firmware before they get to windows so should work in linux as well. Does fn+f12 not do anything for you? Do any of the other function keys work in linux?

Even if the hotkey software is not running, you should be able to turn on bluetooth I think. Does the other Fn keys work?

Re: enabling bluetooth by default on m860tu/np8660 ?
I stand corrected, I tried FN+F12 and checked dmesg logs, it appears bluetooth is being enabled. The problem was from kde blutetooth manager. However, I managed to get it worked by using hcitool and hidd
Answering your question, some keys worked correctly like LCD and some don't like brightness, sound control doesn't work but when I press FN+F6. kde shows volume level on the screen but it doesn't go up ..

Yeah it would be nice to have the option for it to be automatic at Windows startup.
Question: are there any Vista equipped notebooks that have auto startup for bluetooth modules?P170HM | i7-2630QM | 6970M | 8GB 1333MHz RAM | CM4 128GB SSD | 320GB 7200.4 | BRD

Re: enabling bluetooth by default on m860tu/np8660 ?
I have a bluetooth mouse and all this is pretty annoying to me as you can guess. So is there really no solution to this bluetooth problem? No way to enable it by default?
