    Default XoticPC's Sager NP5793 Pictorial Mini-Review by Prasad007

Hi guys! First of all, I'd like to say that this is the PERFECT machine for me! It's more than what I had expected... sure I knew the calibre of the GPU and 3DMark06 scores, etc etc. But having your first laptop before you after almost three months of looking around for one, and then suddenly going from seeing it in pictures to seeing it in person, is quite an exquisite feeling!

My birthday was on 7th Feb, my 18th birthday, and I was promised a (gaming) laptop also for college use! There began the journey By March I was convinced this laptop was the one for me.... ideal in configuration, and ideal in price! Not that it looked bad either Hell, it just looks HAWT!!

This isn't much of a "Review" as such since this already popular notebook has been reviewed several times, especially the ever-popular review by Chaz.
This is just more like a picture gallery with all the pictures I took of it, and it's box
I apologize for the low quality pictures, but I was SOOOO excited to have UPS delivery the package that I couldn't bother getting the camera, and hence just used my simple 3.2 MP phone cam!
One thing I'd like to mention to all those reading - The pictures DO NOT do justice to the laptop! I was told myself that the notebook looks better in person, and I couldn't be more convinced when I actually unboxed it myself....
It so happens that no matter how many pics of it I see on the net today, or take of it myself, it just simply CANNOT mimic the vibe this laptop gives me when I look at it in person!

So here we go.... finally, the pictures!!

XoticPC box as delived by UPS in perfect condition! Consisting of 2 Sager NP5793, one being mine and one for a friend (he paid me for it, ofcourse! )

    Box opened - top view.

Notebook with packaging removed from box.

    Packing removed!

    Front view, off.

    Side view.

    Nice sturdy keyboard, neatly covered

Free XoticPC bag with discs, adapter, etc..... honestly above my expectations for a FREE bag

    Laptop INSIDE bag

    Front view, on.

17" widescreen for Teh sexy-bomb level gaming... oh yeah! Currently reformatting for custom partitions and installing Vista Home Premium X64

Side view, on, along with Logitech MX518 gaming-grade mouse

    SIde view, on.

Front view.... it looks like a mammoth... done intentionally

    Side view at work desk.

Laptop as used and existent today, front view, with Chaz's HOT WUXGA wallpaper

I'd like to mention that XoticPC was fantastic with all the help, as were both Justin Nolte and Justin Woitte Their support was outstanding, and the price for this laptop was great too! My configuration of this unit is as follows.

Sager NP5793 Custom Laptop (Built on Clevo M570RU-U / M571RU-U)
    - 17" WUXGA "Glare Type" Super Clear Ultra Bright Glossy Screen (1920x1200)

    - ~Combo 8x8x6x4x Dual Layer DVD +/-R/RW 5x DVD-RAM 24x CD-R/RW Drive w/Softwares
    - ~ 320GB 5400RPM (Serial-ATA 300) Hard Drive
    - Internal 7-in-1 Card Reader (MS/MS Pro/MS Duo/MS Pro Duo/SD/Mini-SD/MMC/RS)
    - Internal Bluetooth 2.0+ EDR

    - Built in 2.0 Megapixel Camera
    - Sound Blaster Compatible 3D Audio - Included
    - Integrated System Speakers - Included
    - Smart Li-ion Battery (8-Cell)
    - 110/220V 120W Auto Switching AC Adapter - Included
    - Integrated Fingerprint Reader
    - ~Windows Vista Home Premium 64-Bit Installed (64&32-Bit CD Included) w/ Drivers & Utilities CD's
    - 3 Year Labor* 1 Year Parts Warranty Lifetime 24/7 DOMESTIC Toll Free Tech Support
(Extra 2 Year Labor Warranty through Xotic PC)
This laptop was a BIG adventure for me, and finally it's arrived (4 days back) but I couldn't post this before, since Crysis and WiC were quite the drugs! Not to mention how well this laptop ran them
I would more than advise anyone to buy through XoticPC as you can see, I couldn't be happier with this unit. If it's customer satisfaction you want, it's satisfaction you're gonna get! Especially for Americans, to whom, shipping wouldn't be a problem and it's costs... not to mention the great warranty!

Also, I'd like to mention that I didn't find the laptop fans loud at all! Not even on full blast! I infact find it pleasant, and run it on full blast while connected to a power source, most of the time, since I was always used to my noisy desktops!

My 3DMark06 score is ~9200 on Windows Vista x64 SP1.

This laptop was well worth EVERY FREAKIN' BUCK! And "bang for buck" is just an understatement IMO! For anyone thinking of getting a gaming laptop around this budget, DO NOT HESITATE! It's not heavy as much as I had expected... seeing as to how thick it is at the back! And as stated, it DOES indeed look MUCH better in person!

    UPDATE!!! NEW PICTURES :

    Back view.

    Bottom view.

Bottom view, "EXTREME EDITION".... Yeaahhhh baby !!

    New matching black/orange coloured backpack!

    Laptop on new bag.

Once again, I apologize for this "review" that was done in a rush... since I am about to leave on vacation, and was unable to sum up anything better, any quicker

The Sager NP5793 has indeed given me a grand exquisite red-carpet welcome to the world of high-end mobile gaming!

It`s not just the 100 Mhz difference. It`s double the L2 cache also.
