Re: **Official Clevo P170EM / Sager NP9170 Owner's Lounge**
I'm anticipating being an owner of a P170EM sometime in the next month or so (really depends on how backed up orders are due to the 7970). I've been a desktop kind of guy until now, but since I'm headed back to school and am going to be living in a tiny apartment, there's no room for my monster of an enclosure. SO excited to get this notebook.

Re: **Official Clevo P170EM / Sager NP9170 Owner's Lounge**
Currently Mythologic has it in U.S. as far as I know, and Eurocom in Canada. I was told that I'll be getting tracking information by the evening
and it should arrive to Ireland by Tuesday or Wednesday. I've also been told that 660M runs 20% cooler then fermi cards in furmark tests. Since I am not really a hardcore gamer I think I'll be fine without the 7970M, and at some point if I think that I really need it. I'll just place an order for card only. On the other hand pretty much everything runs fine in max settings according to benchmarks, just some require one or 2 options on medium, which are not that noticeable. I also discarded the internal bluray for 750GB external storage, I figured I wont really need a writer or reader. Again at some point I feel I need one I'll just buy an external one. As for now I think I am well set.

Re: **Official Clevo P170EM / Sager NP9170 Owner's Lounge**
Received the laptop on Monday and I have to say that I'm very impressed. I was also very pleased and surprised to find I was upgraded to Ivy Bridge without being told. Thanks XoticPC and Sager!
Initial impressions...it's sharp-looking and crazy fast. It's smaller than my old 17" Gateway which I like and maybe a little lighter. The matte screen is just awesome. I was afraid that edges of text and graphics would look blocky but that isn't the case at all. It's VERY bright, too. I'm definitely glad I got the matte screen with consideration to where I'll be using it most - areas with outdoor glares.
With my underwater video business, using Sony Vegas 11...what used to take me 1 hour and 45 minutes to encode with the Core 2 Duo Gateway lappy (1920x1080 HD video) now takes me 12 MINUTES. Ohhhhhh yeah!!!!! And I haven't OC'd yet!
I do see a minor video driver issues that I imagine will pass once better drivers come out. Using 301.34 (with modified .inf) from laptopvideo2go, I see one faint translucent vertical line on the screen that wasn't there when I installed Win 7 x64. It remains there no matter what application I have open. I'm using the latest Intel 4000 driver from Sager's website, dated May 1. Appreciate a fix if anyone has the same problem or suspects what it may be.
The keyboard is great once you get used to a few key positions, like Delete, etc. But I've found that's to be expected with any new keyboard. The keys feel great.
The laptop case that came with mine is a better quality than I expected. Fits the laptop nicely inside and has an extra outside pocket.
Really, really pleased with this purchase. Highly recommend! Will probably install a few games tonight like UT3, Supcom I & 2, BF2 and Crysis 2. Have yet to buy BF3, but it's on my list. Not too interested in D3 right now but I have a friend who is, so who knows. Agree with others who say that high specs shouldn't be needed to play it...I got that impression from the open beta.
Sorry to hear about your problems, Exodus! Re: **Official Clevo P170EM / Sager NP9170 Owner's Lounge**
Finally got the 675 working right. Was a mix of drivers and force enabling it for certain programs.
I used Kombustor with the MSI graphic for 11 mins with stock fan options. (Afterburner)
750/1500/1950
Avg fps: 40
Max Temp: 96c
I'm probably doing it wrong.
I wish the settings would stick with NV inspector.

Re: **Official Clevo P170EM / Sager NP9170 Owner's Lounge**
Really glad to hear that it's living up to expectations. I was really afraid that the Matte screen option would result in the screen being washed out, so it's really comforting to hear that it is still bright! Definitely going with the Matte in that case.
Also glad to hear that the keyboard is responsive and feels good, another worry I had.
Gets me psyched up, and I'm going to be placing my order very soon! Just out of curiosity, would you mind sharing how long the power cord is? Just something I've been wondering about ever since I saw my friend struggle with having a very short cord...
Happy that you're happy, share some pics/vids!
Arrived and amazing!
