Re: **Official Clevo P170EM / Sager NP9170 Owner's Lounge**
Edit of last post: I found a thread on MVKTech about gtx675m bios flashing. My one question;
I tried flashing with nvflash, but it said pci subsystem id mismatch, and the -6 option overrides it. Re: **Official Clevo P170EM / Sager NP9170 Owner's Lounge**
Ok I'm in some serious need of assistance here people. I CANNOT get my Np9170 to load up any games requiring the GTX 675M.
Every time I try, it BSODs and gives nvlddmkm.sys as the cause. I've read on the xotic forums that this is a driver error. I've tried EVERYTHING to get back to a working state, and I cannot get it back to working even once.
I've tried uninstalling the graphics card from device manager, rebooting, pointing to the 301.32 drivers, installing, rebooting, trying and still failing.
Is this because I have the i7-3610QM? Do I need to update my chipset drivers or something? What can I do to try to get this working again??
Could it actually be bad hardware causing this?
Please help.

Re: **Official Clevo P170EM / Sager NP9170 Owner's Lounge**
I had similar issues with my Asus. Reboot in safe mode multiple times, each time uninstalling the driver. Make sure to check the box to delete the driver when it asks to uninstall in device manager.
Eventually it wont have any more drivers to delete, and itll be the win7 default vga driver. Then reinstall the Nvidia driver through its setup process, rather than pointing device manager to the folder.Sager NP9170.|.1920x1080 Glossy 90% Gamut LED LCD.|.i7 2960XM @ 74w long/84w short max tdp, 39/41/42/43 mults for 4/3/2/1 cores = ~3.5-4.3ghz.|.32GB DDR3 1600.|.GTX 675M 2.0GB OC'd @ 740/1480/1950.|.IC Diamond TC on CPU + GPU.|.2x750GB 7200RPM HDD's in Raid 0.|.OCZ Nocti 30gb cache SSD.|.Bluray Burner/reader.|.Killer Wireless-n 1103 3x3

BootSkin - Change your Windows Boot Screens
and some skins: WinCustomize: Explore : BootSkins
Assuming you won't be installing Windows XP lately..
Enjoy

Re: **Official Clevo P170EM / Sager NP9170 Owner's Lounge**
You've got it wrong. I mean customizing bios screen, instead of having style-note or any other reseller logo appearing I'd like to design my own and replace it. So every time I power on the laptop I'll see my own logo on bios stage of booting. That is before the operating system boot logo appears.
Edit: I plan to create a Logo named something like Anonymous hacking beast or something with slick design ofc., also on the other hand I plan to install hackintosh, windows 7 and Linux on this machine under my signature like I did with my older laptops
, so the boot loader will appear like "Welcome Altleet"
Please select and operating system to proceed, and have choice of 3 which i have mentioned above
I have taped my old laptop and posted on YouTube long ago here is the link to it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=joXvE5faDYQLast edited by altleet; 7th May 2012 at 06:34 PM.

Re: **Official Clevo P170EM / Sager NP9170 Owner's Lounge**
So playing Battlefield 3 last night at full ultra settings for about 4-5 hours. My max GPU temp went 89. Is that dangerous? Or is that still safe.
That game looks so damn good.

Re: **Official Clevo P170EM / Sager NP9170 Owner's Lounge**
I game like anything when i have the time so playing 15-20 hrs a day is no biggie(thats unless i am playing some outdoor sport along with regular work). Do u mean to say that this kind of gameplay wont be possible for his laptop assuming 15 continuous days of 15hrs a day gaming ? What about moderate settings if not ultra for same duration?
