Yep, i thought immediately that's even worse than the 3610

Funny...

Did they say what Paste they used?
It also doesn't surprise me. With all the Boost features in modern CPUs and GPUs I'd expect that under high demand it is going to push the edge of the cooling system. I was more interested to see how it did at idle on the battery. My hope was that Intel was selecting their most efficient and coolest running CPUs for the 3612QM and it would do better at low load.

Re: **Official Clevo W110ER / Sager NP6110 Owner's Lounge**
Hey Prema, I really hope you can do something with the bios to perhaps (not sure if its possible) make the fan blow faster or something to keep these temps down.
I have a bunch of heat sinks and my handy dandy Artic Silver 5 to play with, and hopefully, it'll help the machine stay a bit cooler.
*Side note, for those of you who might be using this machine for school (browsing the web, typing stuff up, not paying attention to the teacher...), or just general stuff, a linux variant might help a bit. I think i might be able to scale the cpu down much much further, and perhaps lower the temps. Since linux isn't as demanding on resources...lets just say we might get lucky. If it does work out, i might just image the computer and share my system with you guys :P

My predictions about the temps on a 35w cpu were accurate, the temps are about the same.
I don't think this will be different with the 35w ivy dual cores.
Great to see these reviews with a 3612qm.
It is me or it seems that these processors are underperforming under this machine? The cpu scores of 3dmark 06 don't seem right.. Don't get me wrong this offers GREAT performance for such a small size, but these processors are a little bit more powerful.Alienware M14x | Nebula Red| i7-2630QM | 8GB DDR3 1333 Mhz | 900P WLED | 160 GB Intel G2 SSD | Intel 1000 Wifi | Nvidia 1.5 GB GT 555M | Bluetooth 3.0 | Yes! you get sombreros instead of caps when you buy an alienware here!.
ORDERED W110ER from LPC Digital
Can't wait!

A bit surprising heatsink system employed. It was enough to give two parallel heatpipes from the CPU, by the GPU, to the radiator.

Re: **Official Clevo W110ER / Sager NP6110 Owner's Lounge**
It sounds a bit warm now but with a modified bios and maybe a heatsink mod down the line I am not worried about temps long term
Bit small for a flagship, don't ya think?

I buy and sell computers for a living. If you have something you are looking to get rid of, maybe we can work something out?

Re: **Official Clevo W110ER / Sager NP6110 Owner's Lounge**
Does it seem like are any advantages to the 3612QM at all right now? If I ordered a CPU that's slower and more expensive with no advantages at all, that would just seem silly.

Re: **Official Clevo W110ER / Sager NP6110 Owner's Lounge**
You guys are all funny, I am talking in reference to the heat being dissipated in such a small form factor,.
You all think if you change the heat paste it will help you? or you think if you add a few more pecies of copper it will help you? Also, you think if the fan can be speed up more (as if it’s not already running at max) it will help you.
Guys your all being delusional, things is a small 11.6" laptop not much bigger than a heater i would use in the winter time. Not much more different then my heater, they both draw 100Watts!!!
I am kind of happy i went with eurocom, because they D!CKED me around, and now I canceled my order. And in the time between I got to see how hot this thing runs and its WAAAYYYYY too hot. I know Intel rates the cpu for 105C but you’re kidding me, this is reaching into the mid 90's!! no way, I’m not having that, mainly because the mother board capacitors are not rated that high, nor are the resistors or any other components on the motherboard.
Anyway, I’m sure there will be a 14" variance from Clevo, and if history tells us something, it’s that history will repeat itself, (just like eurocom D!CKING people around) and Clevo will make a 14" with IVY cpu and this time GDDR5 690M (i wish).
