Re: **Official Clevo W110ER / Sager NP6110 Owner's Lounge**
Then there really isn't much of a point to getting a 120W adapter then is there >.< It's a brick in size and mass... I really don't want to be carrying it around if I don't have to.
I mean, even in the current configuration, you really have to push the machine to exceed 90W consumption, right? From your review, I can see that even with Battlefield 3 at max, you were consuming 89W. And most of the time I won't be pushing it that hard.... unless maybe future games and programs will utilize the power a bit more... but I doubt it. Hmm.

We'll see if that limit can be fixed. If it can't be changed, I agree, 90W is more than adequate. The only advantage is that you won't be peaking the power supply all the time which can shorten its life by quite a bit if you do run it for long periods near peak power rating.
To be honest, I'd rather have a 65W just so I can use the laptop on the go for basic work. Then again, I'd be restricted in gaming if I decided to.

This will undoubtedly be useful for all of those wishing to do their own upgrades.
Perhaps a mod could put this video somewhere it can be easily found?

Finally received my laptop! I can say I'm a proud owner now... Man, this thing is tinier than I thought, but I love it!
Too bad I can't touch it for a couple of days, what a shame. Damn work...

Changing that limit should be no problem and my best guess is that it is there to ease the load on the PSU ones its reaching its 90W limit and prevent people from using something on a level of an Extreme CPU in there (they work).
Since Sager decided to sell these things with a 120W PSU they would have to flash a different BIOS to different configurations, which is to much for a Seller of that size.
If you want HT I make you a custom BIOS with a limit of your own choice.Last edited by Prema; 9th May 2012 at 04:50 AM.
