That's what at least one person from MYTHLOGIC has claimed, but I'm reasonably certain that they're just referring to an apparent improvement in the color reproduction due to the matte finish. They never refer to it as a higher gamut screen in the configurator.

P.S. It looks awesomely small in person. I can't wait to get mine. Come on 3612QM, arrive already.

False. When the guy from Mythologic was talking about it, he expressly stated that it was the same panel simply with a matte finish. It should have slightly poorer color than the glossy indoors because of the finish, but better color and visibility outdoors.

Ha, you can't tell me "false". Maybe they've been inconsistent about their statements regarding the panel, but you can't tell me I misheard what I was told in person. Anyway, thanks for the info.

Thanks - looks like a pretty positive review overall. Did their review unit have a different CPU than the ones currently being offerred via Sager and Myth? Just curious as I don't remember seeing that one before anywhere else, or I just missed it.

If you were told in person you definitely have more info than I do. I would definitely hold out hope for a higher gamut matte screen!

Yeah it's a step up from the 3610qm being offered from most resellers. But it shouldn't really matter as the difference is <10% performance wise between the two CPUs.

The matte screen is also 45% gamut...Myth said the viewing angle is a bit better because of less reflection.

Yea the matte screen has the same color gamut as the glossy, the angles are a bit better because of the non-glare
