It's just that you weren't the one who asked it, my bad.

Ouch, I just saw that I made my comment regarding Mythlogic's matte screen option in the completely wrong thread. Bad things happen in the morning hours...

How much do you people reckon external cooling like one of those cooler pads would be able to decrease temperatures?

Found this in HTWingnuts' thread btw:

Buy a Notebookcooler, that will solve the problems!
My Studio 1555 stays 10*C cooler if i plug in my Zalman NC 1500!
If this notebook runs at 1.9Ghz it is still fast!

Just got mine today from XoticPC. Here's a pic next to my Sony Vaio Z. I literally can't tell a difference in weight or thickness between the two.

Is the sony on the right or left?

Its too dark to see anything clearly.

is that the overpriced sony that has a external videocard from AMD?

How do you find the new computer from Clevo vs the sony?

Can you show how long it takes too boot up the Clevo computer? or do a video with them both booting up to see who wins?

sony would win if its running a SSD i guess, but do it anyway.

This is the VaioZ from 2010 with the nvidia 335m internal gpu, not the junk sony is selling now.

I just did a rough test and my sony booted up about 20 seconds faster than the Sager, which is to be expected since my sony has a SSD and the Sager is the barebone 500gb.

Not bad considering it's a two year old laptop.

I would like to know what CPU you got, sandy or ivy?

    What model is the CPU.

I ordered the Eurocom version of this laptop with the i7 3860qm which is not available on the segar version of this laptop. It has 8mb cache which is 2mb more than the 6mb sager is offering on there ivy bridge version.

Also, what do you plan todo for ram and hdd?

I have the sandy i5, because ivy doesn't seem like that important of an upgrade to wait for.

I'll keep the 8gigs of ram this monster came with but I might try to install a SSD later on if I'm feeling bold enough.

Ya? You have to wait for the ivy bridge?

Eurocom told me they will ship mine next week........ I'm confused

How long would you have had to wait if you wanted the ivy bridge from xoticpc?

And how do you find the LCD screen in comparison to the Sony, in terms of viewing angles and brightness overall. Also color saturations?
